As the memories of a great Christmas holiday start to fade and the pre match nerves start to kick in, thoughts turn to school and the days and weeks ahead.  One of my New Years resolutions (that I am not going to break!) is to strive to support colleagues to improve further by facilitating CPD that works and is right for them as individuals.

Fortuitously I spotted this little gem to get us all in the mood for the term ahead!

Last August @teachertoolkit posed a simple question on twitter:

“What advice would you give to a fellow teacher, or someone starting out in the profession?”

He received over 200 responses and has created a free e-book that can be downloaded here: thirty-words-30-seconds-by-teachertoolkit-v2 or by clicking on the image below:

There are some great ideas but two themes that recur throughout are the ideas of regular self-reflection and the power of learning from others; if you are stuck for ideas for the New Year these might be a good place to start!

Ross has written a really interesting book; for more information please click on the image.
