When discussing some upcoming projects with colleagues at IRIS Connect an idea for breathing some fresh life into the Thursday Morning Thriller came to me. For a while I have wanted to support colleagues to be able to have a platform where they could share an aspect of their practice they want to develop with others and collectively think it through and receive shared thoughts. Providing useful feedback in this way explicitly to help others improve is the plan but I think that we will all learn a considerable amount along the way.
For now, the rules of Film Club… (apologies for the rip off and poor artwork!)
The first rule of Film Club is: you do talk about Film Club.
The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO talk about Film Club!
Third rule of Film Club: if someone yells “stop!”, goes limp, or taps out, the film is over.
Fourth rule: only one teacher to a film.
Fifth rule: one film at a time, fellas.
Sixth rule: the films are bare knuckle. No editing, no scripting, no weapons.
Seventh rule: films will go on as long as they have to (Within the time limit)
And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Film Club, you have to commit to sharing”
I’ll let you know how it goes….
